The colorimeter allows us to measure these colors of essential oils to ensure that each batch has the optimal appearance.
Gas Chromatograph (GC)
We analyze the chemical composition of essential oils to ensure their purity and verify that they meet product specifications. This allows us to identify any unwanted components and ensure consistency in the aromatic profile.
Using the gas chromatograph equipped with FID (Flame Ionization Detector) and MS (Mass Spectrometer), we can analyze this composition. The FID detector is ideal for quantifying hydrocarbons and organic components in essential oils. The Mass Spectrometer provides detailed information on the molecular structure of compounds.
Densimeter, Refractometer and Polarimeter
Three machines connected online and automated through a carousel for samples that evaluates the density, refractive index, and optical rotation of essential oils. These physical properties are crucial for the identification and quality control of essential oils. Each oil has a specific range of density and optical characteristics that must be maintained.
Karl Fischer
Essential oils must have very low water content to prevent degradation and loss of quality. The Karl Fischer method is highly accurate for detecting even traces of moisture. With Karl Fischer, we measure moisture in products to ensure their stability and quality.
Automatic Titration
With the automatic titration, we perform acidity analysis, peroxide index, and carbonyl index. In other words, it evaluates the amount of free acids in the oil, which can affect its stability and aroma. The Peroxide Index indicates the degree of oxidation and the presence of peroxides, which can deteriorate the oil. Meanwhile, the Carbonyl Index is related to the quality and purity of the oil.
These analyses are crucial for determining the quality and shelf life of essential oils, ensuring that there are no undesired degradation processes.
Cleaning Equipment
